With Bumbal we strive for sustainable delivery with logistics software. Previously, you could of course already determine planned kilometers per trip. We have now added the actual kilometers. This can now be seen per trip (can be viewed via the web interface), but also specifically between the starting point and the first stop, between multiple stops and between the last stop and the end of the route. The actual kilometers driven are recorded between all these points. This way you can compare planned and actual kilometers per trip and quickly assess any deviations.
This is done using automatic polling via the Bumbal APP on your mobile phone or tablet. These polls are actually tiny from – to registrations as the crow flies (straight lines thus). We can translate these registrations via the so-called “snap-to-route” technique into the actual kilometers driven on the roads used and also record them in the database. This way you can compare well-planned kilometers and actual kilometers per trip and quickly assess any deviations. In addition, this function also provides a good basis for any CO2 reports that you as a company need to provide yourself or perhaps for a customer in the chain. Together for sustainable delivery.
From Bumbal you can export the actual kilometers from – to performed stops within the trip/route via API or the Excel export activities. Via Bumbal you also have the option to register loading and unloading weight per stop. This information can also serve as input for CO2 reports if you want to prepare this on the basis of tonne-kilometers. From Bumbal you can then export kilometers and weights per route/stop and then process these in your own sustainability / CO2 reporting. Measuring = knowing!
