Tafelplein starts using smart planning system for deliveries

Tafelplein, a specialist in custom-made tables, has chosen Bumbal to professionalize its delivery and planning processes. As both a furniture store and webshop, Tafelplein produces all of its furniture in-house at its own factory. This full control over the production process allows them to guarantee top quality at a fair price. The wood used is FSC-certified and is carefully dried and processed. Now, Tafelplein is also taking the next step in planning and customer communication—with Bumbal’s smart delivery planning system.

Fully Digital and Always Up-to-Date

Thanks to the integration between Bumbal and accounting software Snelstart, orders are automatically forwarded to the planning system. This ensures planners always have the most up-to-date information. Routes and deliveries are automatically and efficiently scheduled on a daily basis. Drivers receive their tasks via the Bumbal Driver App, while planners have real-time insight into the status of ongoing deliveries. Customers are proactively informed via track & trace and receive a digital delivery note by email if desired. The result? Less manual work, less paper, shorter routes—and most importantly: satisfied customers, drivers, and planners.

Freedom of Choice for Customers with Smart Appointment Feature

A key part of the Bumbal solution is its appointment feature. Orders without a pre-scheduled delivery time are automatically sent from Snelstart to Bumbal. The system then independently schedules a delivery appointment with the customer. The proposed time slots are calculated in real time, based on the current planning. No matter which option the customer chooses—it always fits efficiently into the schedule. Once the choice is made, the appointment is automatically scheduled and the customer receives an immediate confirmation via email. Of course, planners can make manual adjustments if needed. For the customer, this means maximum flexibility, while Tafelplein retains full control over an efficient schedule—the best of both worlds.
