Bumbal already has the handy zone function. This allows you, as a Bumbal user, to divide your operating area into regions that suit you well. For example, because you deliver to certain regions on certain days in a certain route schedule or because you work on the basis of a fixed driver – region combination. We have recently further developed the function and it can now be used even more specifically.
Once you have defined zones, Bumbal automatically places the correct zone on a specific order/stop. The system does this automatically as soon as it is offered to Bumbal from a system link or the Excel upload. The zones can also be applied to all countries. The zones currently work on a 4-digit basis. The number of numbers and letters in a zip code will soon no longer matter. So, for example, for the Netherlands you can add 2 letters. This means that you can define even more specific zones for countries that use postal codes with more than 4 digits or countries that also divide postal codes based on letters, such as the Netherlands. So handy!
The zone function is often experienced as ‘nice’ by Bumbal users. But who are actually the Bumbal users? Anyone who delivers products or provides a service to consumers or companies with one or more vehicles. We see that Bumbal is popular in certain industries. The Bumbal route planner is widely used in industries where the customer must be at home for delivery. For example, if it concerns a large product or if a service needs to be executed at home or other specific location. Bumbal is often used when delivering furniture, bicycles or electronics.
