Reshare also uses Bumbal to collect clothes at home

Reshare, an organization which, just like Bumbal, attaches great importance to sustainability. Reshare is a platform of the Salvation Army that is committed to reusing textiles. The organization had been using Bumbal for some time to organize the planning of the emptying and changing of the well-known clothing containers. Reshare recently conducted a first test to collect clothes from people’s homes. This was a success and is now being rolled out further in Amsterdam and Tilburg. This is another great step to give even more clothes a second life. More information about this innovative and sustainable company can be found on the website www.reshare.nl.

The complete Bumbal solution

In addition to smart planning for emptying and changing the clothing containers, Reshare will also use Bumbal to collect the clothing from people’s homes. They experienced that these pick-up routes where difficult to schedule. In addition, it was a major challenge to make an appropriate appointment at people’s homes. When does it suit the customer? And can that be efficiently planned in available routes? That is a difficult puzzle that takes a lot of time and energy. Bumbal is the solution for both smart planning and the organization of automatic delivery appointments.

No hassle, just make automatic delivery appointments

Reshare now uses the Bumbal algorithm and the appointment software. The planning is now fully automatic, but the planner can always adjust if desired. How does it work? The customer goes to the Reshare website and indicates how many clothes can be picked up. The customer can then choose a time slot that suits him/her best. The options that Reshare offers on the website are pre-filtered by Bumbal and directly calculated via the planning algorithm in the running planning. Whatever the customer chooses, it always fits. In this way, Reshare hopes to save more clothes from the landfill. And in this way Bumbal also contributes a little making the clothing industry more sustainable.
