With the Bumbal planning software, Veris Building Materials Group can plan more efficiently and faster and better provide drivers with the right information.
Veris Building Materials Group is the service organization of its 27 shareholders who together operate more than 120 branches in the Netherlands and Belgium under the formula names Bouwcenter, Bouwpunt and Stiho. The 27 shareholders are all family businesses whose core task is trading in wood and building materials. Many also have a showroom for the sale of tiles, sanitary ware and kitchens. In 2023, Veris completed a selection procedure for planning software and driver APP, with Bumbal emerging as the most suitable solution. For more information, see also www.veris.nl.
Bumbal is linked by Veris to Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365), the new ERP that they will use. This means that order information (including updates) is automatically transferred to Bumbal and status updates from Bumbal are also automatically fed back to D365. Every Construction Center that will use Bumbal has its own Bumbal account, which is customized by Bumbal. The system interface between D365 and Bumbal will be rolled out at the first Construction Centers in Q2 of this year.
A number of Construction Centers have already chosen to use Bumbal based on the Excel upload. They export orders from the current ERP system and easily load them into the Bumbal system. There are now six Construction Centers that use Bumbal. That number will continue to grow in 2024. They mainly use Bumbal to plan more efficiently and faster, to better provide drivers with the right information and to have track & trace available for both planner and customer. And last but not least, they can now also work completely digitally and there is central insight into everything related to transport and delivery.
