Tuindeco is getting started with Bumbal. Often, we talk about Bumbal’s software in combination with own vehicles, but Tuindeco outsources its transportation to an external transport company. Still, Bumbal’s planning software is very useful in this case. This way, Tuindeco will take a significant step forward in the digitalization of B2B logistics.
For nearly 30 years, Tuindeco has been providing a wide range of garden products. Over this period, the company has grown into an international wholesaler with a global network of dealers. They stand out by being able to deliver a large portion of their products directly from stock. Their goal is to always have at least 95% of their range available. Tuindeco has developed into a logistics organization that enables dealers to deliver quickly and reliably to the end customer. They are constantly looking for new ideas and aim to help dealers speed up and improve processes by providing knowledge and systems.
Absolutely! Tuindeco outsources the B2B delivery of garden furniture to external logistics service providers, including their in-house carrier, Wigchers Transport. By using Bumbal’s logistics software, Tuindeco will create a complete (automated) planning, which will then be automatically forwarded to Wigchers’ TMS through a system integration. From the TMS, the relevant information will also be made available to the onboard computers of Wigchers’ drivers. Updates regarding the status from the onboard computers will be sent back to Bumbal via the TMS. This way, Tuindeco always has visibility into the status of the deliveries.
Orders are automatically transferred from Tuindeco’s ERP system to Bumbal via Deliverymatch (supply chain management software). Bumbal plays a central role in the automation of transport planning, giving Tuindeco full control over the route planning while always being up to date with the latest developments. Bumbal is not only usable with own vehicles, but also a perfect planning solution for companies that outsource their transport. And all of this under their own management.
