Bumbal is a smart SaaS solution that enables the organisation and planning of delivery and service at any address. Thanks to Bumbal, many wasted kilometres are avoided, and the sustainability and service of a company are improved. Several modules make this possible: smart algorithms and user portals provide customers with suitable delivery appointments. Advanced route planning software takes care of the most efficient ride planning. The status on the day of execution is easy to follow, and the digital registration of an appointment or delivery is child’s play, thanks to the integrated mobile drivers’ and deliverymen’s app.

Job description

We are looking for programmers who are eager to learn and not afraid to learn new methods and techniques, have a good sense of responsibility, and show initiative and accountability where necessary. Within a small team, you will look for the balance between providing stable and reliable solutions and applying techniques that keep Bumbal ahead of its competitors.

In small scrum teams, you collaborate with colleagues on sprints to develop various modules. At any given time, you will be able to further develop in one or more fields.

Job demands

  • HBO (University of Applied Sciences), or academic education, or demonstrable level.
  • Minimum of 1-year demonstrable work experience as a (Object Oriented) PHP developer

  • You are capable of coming up with solutions independently
  • You carry responsibility for more than just your own work
  • You have a flexible disposition and can make pragmatic choices when necessary
  • You are proactive and do not wait for others to be productive

Technical competencies

  • PHP, MySQL
  • Experience with a well-known PHP framework such as Laravel, Lumen or Zend
  • Pre: familiar with developing and using (RESTful) API
  • Pre: familiar with working in docker containers
  • Pre: MongoDB

Our offer

Within Bumbal, you will have an immediate impact: you are not one of tens of programmers, but part of a technical core team that together determines the system’s direction. Together with your teammates, you consider the speed, reliability, safety, and maintainability of the system, while expanding your skills in all these areas. You can work from 24 to 40 hours per week. We aim for a long-term relationship and are therefore looking for people who want to stay at Bumbal for a longer period of time. After the usual first temporary contract, we will offer you a permanent contract, provided

there is mutual satisfaction. The salary is competitive, commuting costs are reimbursed and there is a fair pension scheme.
