Java Deurenfabriek, the oldest door manufacturer in the Netherlands, has chosen Bumbal’s software planner to further modernise their logistics processes. Seamless connection between Proteus and Bumbal with software planner
A major step in this modernisation is the integration of Bumbal with the existing Proteus system. Orders are now automatically forwarded to Bumbal. This means that planning is always up-to-date and the planner has full insight into ongoing processes. No more manual work and therefore less chance of errors.
Smart and efficient route planning
With Bumbal software planner, journeys and routes are planned automatically and efficiently every day. Mechanics and drivers are fully informed of their activities via the integrated Bumbal driver app. At the same time, the planner sees the status of each journey in real time. Customers automatically receive a track & trace and, if desired, a digital delivery note by email after delivery. This saves time, kilometers and paper — and leads to satisfied customers, drivers and planners.
Automatic delivery appointments with customer
Java Deurenfabriek will also use the Bumbal appointment function. As soon as an order without a specific delivery date or time slot is received by Bumbal from Proteus, a delivery appointment is automatically scheduled. The proposed options have been calculated in advance in the existing planning, so that each choice can be planned efficiently immediately. After confirmation, the customer immediately receives an e-mail, while the planner can always make manual adjustments if necessary.
Freedom of choice and efficiency
Thanks to this new method, the customer experiences maximum flexibility in choosing a delivery or service time, without this being at the expense of efficiency in planning. The result: the best of both worlds.
